• Constellations: The sky is so dark that even fainter constellations and deep-sky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula can be visible to the naked eye or through binoculars.
• Zodiacal Light: In spring and autumn, under perfect conditions, you might spot the faint, pyramid-shaped glow of sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust, known as the Zodiacal Light.The unspoilt environment attracts, wildlife from all around , sea birds, eagles , dolphins and basking sharks. There are also abundant opportunities for fishing along the coast and fresh seafood can be bought directly from the local fishermen at the nearby pier. Milovaig is situated in a secluded , rural, tranquil part of SKYE in the far NW, if you are looking for an authentic, quite experience on Skye then Aurora Retreats is the place for you, there is a scattering of houses with amazing walks and sea views and wild life , such as sea eagles, golden eagles , deer , who visit Aurora often and an abundance of sea birds and dolphins, which can at times be seen from the balcony. which over looks loch poilteel. We also leave the garden wild , so it attracts butterflies and bees as well as an abundance of wildflowers. Dunvegan is only 10 miles aways with plenty shops the well known three chimneys restaurant is local as well as Dunvegan castle , coral beach . We also have a Gift Shop where you can buy , Isle of Skye candles, essence of Harris candles and Harris tweed . Getting around best to have a car to see the island, public transport in Glendale is only available in schools time with a limited service

At Aurora, we offer three intimate, all-in-one properties. Our charming wood cabin stands alone, while the contemporary white building is home to two units, Aurora 1 and Aurora 2. Each of these single-size, cozy units is a complete space for you to sleep, shower, cook, and unwind. Every detail is crafted for your comfort, from the king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding to thoughtful touches like dressing gowns, slippers, and sleep kits.

Situated at the tip of the North West, just two miles from the iconic Neist Point Lighthouse, Aurora is your gateway to an unspoiled Jurassic coastline steeped in natural heritage. The retreats are surrounded by a breathtaking landscape of hills, cliffs, waterfalls, and rivers, all while offering amazing sea views of the Atlantic Ocean and Loch Poilteel.

This secluded environment is a haven for wildlife. From your balcony, you may spot sea eagles, golden eagles, and deer, while dolphins and basking sharks can often be seen along the coast. We even leave our garden wild to attract an abundance of butterflies and bees. For those who love fresh, local produce, you can buy fresh seafood directly from local fishermen at the nearby pier.

While you'll feel miles from anywhere, you're only a short drive from key landmarks. The famous Three Chimneys restaurant is nearby, and the village of Dunvegan is just 10 miles away, offering shops, the historic Dunvegan Castle, and the stunning Coral Beach. We also have an on-site gift shop where you can find locally made products like Isle of Skye and Harris Tweed candles.

To truly experience all that the Isle of Skye has to offer, a car is recommended.
